Australian economy: current account deficit AUD16.55bln Posted: Exports fell by 0.5% which brought the deficit number in slightly higher than expected. Business inventories grew by 0.5% and private sector credit contracted, up by 0.2% MoM, as the effects of increasing interest rates took hold. The AUD/USD is trading close to the top of its session range at .8485. |
