Here is an outlook for the British events, and an updated technical analysis for GBP/USD. Britain is getting closer to another round of QE, perhaps as early as next month. This is what was seen in the meeting minutes, and it hurt the pound. On the same day, Ben Bernanke didn’t provide any hints whatsoever for QE3 and settled for Operation Twist. | NZD/USD Outlook – September 26-30 Posted: 25 Sep 2011 02:00 AM PDT The New Zealand dollar tumbled down and returned to levels seen before it surged to all times highs. Building Consents and NBNZ Business Confidence are the major events this week. Here’s an outlook for the events in New Zealand, and an updated technical analysis for NZD/USD The biggest blow came from Operation Twist launched by Bernanke and the lack of QE3 in the US. Last week Current Account indicated growth in imports reaching a deficit of 0.92B and GDP growth narrowed to 0.1% following 0.9% increase in the previous month. The upcoming week is relatively light in indicators, but this doesn’t mean it will be light with movements. Here is an outlook for the events awaiting us, and an updated technical analysis for AUD/USD, now in much lower ground. The big blow for the Aussie came from Ben Bernanke’s twist. | USD/CAD Outlook – September 26-30 Posted: 24 Sep 2011 09:00 AM PDT One Canadian dollar is now worth significantly less than one US dollar as the loonie surrendered to the greenback . GDP is the highlight of this week. Here’s an outlook for the Canadian events, and an updated technical analysis for USD/CAD. The lack of QE3 in Bernanke’s statement and especially the comment about downside risks to the economy weighed heavily on the loonie. This was exacerbated by the accompanying fall in oil prices. Last week Inflation rates increased but retail sales contracted due to a reduced demand for automobile, Core retail sales remained flat indicating less activity in the market.
